A Prison Monk

Apparently 1 out of 100 Americans is currently behind bars. If that statistic is accurate, it is truly a dire state of affairs.

"Do we want to save these lives or discard them?"

This is such an amazing project. Everyone makes mistakes, however horrible those mistakes might be, I think there is always a chance for someone to turn their life around. And this guy is helping to make that happen. 

"What if prisoners were given the opportunity to learn how to change their reality? What if they were taught to see a possibility for a shift, a change, a transformation? Anyone who meditates knows the power of the practice and knows that transformation is possible." Carolyn Gilligan.

This man is a lovely genius! 

A wonderful speech he gave that anyone working in the arts or indeed anyone at all can appreciate.

"So, be wise because the world needs more wisdom. And if you cannot be wise, pretend to be someone who is wise and then just behave like they would!"
